Mike Arthur, Contract Manager at Rocela said 'This move was widely expected at Rocela. Oracle set their pricing in US Dollars and then convert to local currencies using an exchange rate that is set for a period of time. Oracle's UK pricing has been based on an exchange rate of 1.97 since May 2008. Today's spot rate is around 1.64 so a 20% correction at the start of Oracle's new financial year was not unexpected. The base pricing in US Dollars remains unchanged.'
